Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for studyoptional.com, a study service based in India. We have written it in plain language so you can actually read it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we use it only to run the service, and we never sell it.

What we collect

There are three kinds of information, and only when you give them to us:

• Your email address. When you log in with a magic link, request access to the practice portal, or sign up to a list form on the site, we store your email so we can sign you in and send you what you asked for.
• Your study activity. If you use the personalised practice portal, we store how you report your practice — your profile and effort data — so the service can tailor each day's problem set to where you need work. This data exists to make the practice useful to you; that is its only purpose.
• Anonymous, cookieless analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and understand which pages help. It uses no cookies and does not fingerprint or track you across other sites — which is why this site has no cookie banner. The only cookie we ever set is a session cookie to keep you logged in, and only while you are logged in.

What we don't do

• We don't run ads.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
• We don't use third-party tracking cookies or advertising trackers.

Who processes data for us

To run the service, your data is handled by two providers, each under their own privacy terms:

• Cloudflare — hosting and the cookieless analytics above.
• MailerLite — sending email and managing list subscriptions.

That's the whole list. We don't pass your data to anyone else.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep your data while your account is active or your list subscription is live. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in the footer of that email.

If you want your data deleted, email [email protected] and ask. We'll remove your account and study data and confirm when it's done.

Questions, access, and grievances

For anything to do with your data — a copy of it, a correction, a deletion, or a concern — write to [email protected] and a real person will respond. The operator of this service, for the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework, is studyoptional.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here first.
